Quand les lobbies ont une idée en tête, ils trouvent toujours le moyen d’y revenir, peu importe le temps nécessaire.
La controverse à propos d’un James Bond homosexuel et/ou noir renaît ces jours-ci avec l’interview de l’acteur Pierce Brosnan publiée par le magazine Details pour la promo de No Escape (en salles en France le 2 septembre),
«Pouvez-vous imaginer un 007 gay?»
«Bien sûr. Pourquoi pas?» , répond l’acteur irlando-américain célèbre pour son rôle d’agent 007.
«En fait, je ne sais pas comment cela fonctionnerait. Je ne crois pas que Barbara [Broccoli, la productrice des James Bond] accepterait un James Bond gay de son vivant. Mais ce serait certainement intéressant à voir. Commençons par confier le rôle à un formidable acteur noir. Idris Elba a la carrure physique, le charisme, la présence. Mais je pense que Daniel [Craig] est là pour rester.»
Pierce Brosnan a également cru nécessaire d’afficher plus encore son soutien aux revendications LGBT et d’attaquer également l’Eglise catholique en répondant à une question sur la légalisation du mariage entre personnes de même sexe en Irlande.
«Je n’y aurais pas cru dans un million d’années, mais alleluia! Il faut en finir avec la honte. C’est une bonne indication de l’évolution d’une nation qui a été si abîmée par la religion.»
