Canada – Lundi, le converti à l’islam Martin « Ahmad » Couture-Rouleau assassinait un adjudant de l’armée canadienne. Mercredi, une attaque est menée à Ottawa. Un des assaillants est abattu, il s’agit de l’islamiste Michael Zehaf-Bibeau. Le Canada découvre le danger que fait courir sur son territoire cet islamisme qui admire les djihadistes fanatiques de l’Etat Islamique.
Né en 1982 au Canada, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau était le fils d’un homme d’affaires libyen, Bulgasem Zeha, et d’une québécoise, Susan Bibeau, fonctionnaire fédérale travaillant à la Commission de l’immigration et du statut de réfugié.
Michael Zehaf-Bibeau était connu de la justice pour des faits de délinquance et, comme Martin « Ahmad » Couture-Rouleau, figurait sur une liste d’islamistes sous surveillance après sa conversion.
Michael Zehaf-Bibeau a assassiné le caporal Nathan Cirillo au cours de l’attaque menée hier.
Les militaires canadiens ont reçu pour consigne de ne plus sortir en uniforme dans les rues.
