Comme promis lors de sa ligne directe du 17 avril, le président russe a signé ce lundi un décret réhabilitant les différents peuples vivant en Crimée persécutés sous Staline. « Je voulais vous informer que le décret sur la réhabilitation des Tatars de Crimée, des Arméniens, des Allemands, des Grecs et d’autres peuples victimes de répressions staliniennes a été signé. » a ainsi donc déclaré Vladimir Poutine ce 21 avril.
Pour avoir collaboré avec l’Allemagne nazie au cours de la deuxième guerre mondiale, les Tatars de Crimée ainsi que les Allemands, les Arméniens et les Grecs vivant dans la péninsule ont été déportés en masse vers l’Asie centrale.
Selon les historiens spécialistes du communisme, cette idéologie totalitaire est directement responsable d’environ 100 millions de morts dans le monde au XXème siècle dont 25 millions en URSS. On comprend dès lors aisément que certains aient perçu l’occupation par les armées du IIIème Reich comme une occasion de se libérer de l’enfer soviétique.
Si cette réhabilitation peut ne paraître que symbolique, le symbole n’en pas moins très fort dans une Russie peu adepte de la repentance et où la population est majoritairement nostalgique de l’URSS.
