Vincent Peillon, ancien ministre de l’Education Nationale, publie un roman intitulé Aurora (éditions Stock).
Il s’agit d’un thriller parsemé de références judaïques. La trame du livre décrit la traque par le Mossad, service de renseignements israélien, d’un ancien nazi impliqué dans un complot. Le roman débute à la synagogue de la place des Vosges, à Paris, là-même où fut organisée la bar-mitsva du fils de Vincent Peillon.
Vincent Peillon est le fils de Gilles Peillon, banquier communiste qui fut directeur général de la première banque soviétique hors URSS, et de Françoise Blum, directrice de recherche à l’INSERM. Arrière-petit-fils du rabbin Félix Blum, Vincent Peillon a pour oncle maternel Etienne-Emile Baulieu (né Etienne Blum), coinventeur de la pilule abortive RU 486.
Vincent Peillon a quatre enfants : deux filles nées d’un premier mariage, dont Salomé, chargée de mission à l’Institut français d’Israël, et deux garçons nés de ses secondes noces avec Nathalie Bensahel, journaliste au Nouvel Observateur.
Franc-maçon et viscéralement antichrétien, Vincent Peillon est aussi l’auteur d’un ouvrage au titre évocateur : La Révolution française n’est pas terminée.
