C’est l’Obs qui a raconté la confidence du photographe Yann Arthus-Bertrand, très engagé dans l’aide aux immigrés. Il avait publié sur son site un appel à donner des vêtements pour les immigrés, puis avait relayé cet appel auprès de ses contacts personnels et professionnels.

Parmi eux figurait la Fondation Chirac dirigée par Claude Chirac, fille de Jacques Chirac.

Quelques jours plus tard, une voiture officielle avec cocarde tricolore est venue déposer des valises de vêtements au siège de l’association récoltant des vêtements pour les immigrés

« C’étaient des costumes et des pull-over de Jacques Chirac », raconte Yann Arthus-Bertrand.

L’Obs ne précise pas si quelque demandeur d’asile se promène en ce moment en costume trois pièces, ruban de la Légion d’honneur à la boutonnière…
