A 13 ans, une petite blanche américaine est déjà suffisamment grande pour être violée par un célèbre acteur juif (Samantha Geimer), violée et assassinée par son patron juif (Mary Phagan)… Elle l’est aussi assez pour être torturée par son entraîneur noir.
Les faits se sont déroulés au mois de juin à l’East High School de Denver, mais l’information n’a été révélée que ces jours derniers par la diffusion sur Internet du supplice de la gamine.
Celle-ci a été rapidement identifiée : elle s’appelle Ally Wakefield. Son bourreau aussi : il s’agissait d’une célébrité locale, Ozell Williams, à qui l’établissement venait juste de confier l’entraînement des pom-pom girls (en anglais : cheerleaders).
Ce dernier l’a forcé à faire le grand écart. Comme elle n’y parvenait pas, il demanda à quatre autres personnes, toutes de race noire, de la maintenir. La victime pleurait et criait : « Je ne peux, je ne peux pas ». « Ne te débats pas, ce sera pire » lui a répondu son entraîneur avec sadisme. A 9 reprises dans un délai de 24 secondes, elle le supplia d’arrêter. Depuis la diffusion de ces images, le coach a été suspendu, la police enquêtant sur des incidents similaires qui se seraient produits. L’enfant a été blessée à la jambe.
Les faits se sont déroulés dans le camp d’entraînement d’été des cheerleaders et plainte a été déposée par la victime le 15 juin. L’école tenta d’étouffer l’affaire, mais l’envoi de la vidéo à la chaine 9News permit sa diffusion le 22 août. Le 23, la police commença son enquête. Immédiatement, le tortionnaire perdit son impunité et fut suspendu par l’école. Plusieurs autres jeunes filles quittèrent le groupe des cheerleaders et d’autres cas de maltraitances de la part de ce coach commencent à remonter à la surface…
