Emily Letts, une jeune femme de 25 ans, qui travaille comme conseillère dans une clinique d’avortement du New Jersey (Etats-Unis), a dit sa fierté d’avoir fait filmer son propre avortement, afin, dit-elle encore, d’inspirer d’autres femmes. Une démarche de propagande pour la culture de mort…
Emily Letts a écrit un article pour le magazine féminin Cosmopolitan dans lequel elle assure être fière d’avoir enregistré en vidéo l’avortement qu’elle a subi avec le médicament RU-486, utilisé dans le premier trimestre de la grossesse pour causer la mort de l’embryon. « Chaque fois que je vois la vidéo, je l’aime. Je pense simplement qu’il n’y avait pas d’histoires positives d’avortement en vidéo que tous puissent voir . Mais la mienne l’est » écrit-elle dans le magazine. Elle a publié la vidéo sur YouTube, où plus de 800.000 vues ont déjà été enregistrées. Dans son article, Emily Letts déclare qu’elle n’avait pas de « partenaire stable» et qu’elle « n’utilisait aucun moyen contraceptif, ce qui est une folie », dit-elle, « je suis un éducateur sexuel et j’aime parler du contrôle des naissances« . Quand elle a découvert qu’elle était enceinte, elle a immédiatement décidé qu’elle avorterait. Filmer son avortement, explique la jeune femme, devait servir à encourager d’autres femmes à avorter. Le comportement d’Emily Letts illustre les ravages de la pensée mortifère qui obsède les militants pro-avortement. Paradoxalement, Emily Letts a aussi déclaré: » J’ai toujours mon échographie, et si mon appartement était en feu, ce serait la première chose que je prendrais . «
Il ne faudra sans doute pas longtemps pour qu’Emily Letts soit hantée par les regrets, comme tant d’autres femmes qui ont fait le mauvais choix…
