Une famille australienne a décidé d’adopter un bébé abandonné retrouvé mort sur une plage de Sydney.
Le 30 novembre 2014, le cadavre d’un bébé avait été trouvé sur la plage de Maroubra à Sydney. L’enquête n’a pas permis d’identifier la mère de l’enfant.
Bill et Filomena ont donc décidé de l’enterrer à leur frais afin que cette petite fille obtienne enfin la tombe qu’elle mérite.
«Nous étions dans la maison de la sœur de Filomena quand nous avons lu dans le journal que l’enfant n’allait pas obtenir de funérailles décentes« , raconte le mari. « Elle m’a regardé et m’a dit: » Cela ne se passera pas comme cela« . « Ma femme sait ce qu’elle veut et je la soutiens à cent pour cent. »
A l’issue de l’enquête, la police n’avait aucune objection à l’égard de la proposition de Bill et Filomena d’adopter légalement l’enfant, de lui donner un nom et de lui offrir un enterrement correct.
Le service funèbre se tiendra le mercredi 29 avril à 11h30, heure locale. Bill et Filomena ont promis d’offrir chaque année le 29 avril une messe de requiem.
