Les paroissiens de la ville de Buffalo, à New York, aux États-Unis, ont été scandalisés suite à un message exhibé à l’entrée de leur église et qui avait été affiché par le curé de la paroisse le dimanche 8 novembre.
Sur l’affiche placée à l’entrée de l’église catholique dédiée à Sainte Colombe et Sainte Brigide, les fidèles ont lu le message suivant : « Jésus a eu deux papas et tout a bien tourné pour lui ». Pour les paroissiens, cette affiche semblait appuyer le « mariage » homosexuel.
Dès qu’ils se sont rendus compte du contenu de l’affiche, ils en ont rapidement informé la hiérarchie de l’église afin d’obtenir des explications.
L’évêque conciliaire du lieu, Mgr Richard Malone Siobhan O’Connor, a déclaré à la presse locale qu’il s’agissait d’un malentendu mais il a quand même décidé d’enlever l’affiche.
Son explication a été la suivante. Dans cette église, plusieurs enfants sont issus de familles dysfonctionnelles, dont très souvent les enfants ont un père naturel mais, étant donné le divorce subi par les parents, suite à leur séparation, ils vivent avec leurs mères et leurs nouveaux époux. Ils ont donc deux pères.
Le curé de la paroisse a également rassuré ses fidèles en affirmant que l’intention n’était pas du tout celle de soutenir ni « mariage » homosexuel ni les unions homosexuelles.
Cependant, l’évêque du lieu a reconnu que l’affiche était une imprudence et que, malheureusement, elle a provoqué une réaction compréhensible chez les fidèles.
En 2013, une affiche avec les mêmes phrases avait circulé sur internet. C’est un temple anglican en Australie qui avait décidé de la placer à l’entrée du bâtiment afin de montrer son soutien aux duos homosexuels et au « mariage » homosexuel.
De toute façon, dire que Jésus a eu deux pères montre le niveau doctrinal exécrable du curé conciliaire. Il aurait dû expliquer la fonction du Père Céleste et celle du père nourricier que fut Saint Joseph.
