Bpost, l’appellation « moderne » pour la poste belge, a fait connaître les séries de timbres qu’elle émettrait tout au long de l’année 2016.
Parmi ceux-ci, un timbre baptisé « Tolérance » fait la promotion de l’œcuménisme avec une photo de l’imam Khalid Benhaddou, du grand-rabbin de Bruxelles Albert Guigui et… de l’évêque d’Anvers Johan Bonny.
Comment se fait-il que le représentant de l’Eglise catholique dans cette mise en scène inter-religieuse soit Mgr Bonny ? Est-ce parce que la photographe flamande Lieve Blancquaert, qui est l’auteur de ce portrait, a cru que l’évêque d’Anvers serait la successeur de Mgr Léonard à la date d’émission du timbre ? Ou est-ce parce que Mgr Bonny â gagné la sympathie de l’intelligentsia en tant que défenseur de l’homosexualité contre la doctrine de l’Eglise catholique ?
Toujours est-il que le Vatican a annoncé que c’est Mgr Jozef De Kesel, évêque de Bruges, qui succèdera à Mgr Léonard et deviendra archevêque de Malines-Bruxelles.
