Le monde pro-vie est « Charlie » !
Le petit garçon de 10 mois est encore en vie. Il devait être euthanasié vendredi dernier, après la décision finale et inique de la Cour Européenne des droits de l’homme de Strasbourg, qui s’est aplatie devant celle des juges britanniques qui le destinent à la mort selon les avis des spécialistes médicaux. Face à la détresse des parents et leur appel public à l’aide, les médecins du Great Ormond Street Hospital, où Charlie est hospitalisé depuis sa naissance, ont fini, in extremis, par accepter de donner quelques jours de plus de vie à l’enfant. Que quelques uns mais qui seront peut-être suffisants pour sauver Charlie.
Des pro-vie italiens ont lancé un appel au président américain Donald Trump : il est
« le seul qui peut donner un tournant politique à cette tragique histoire de Charlie Gard. » « Si le Président déclarait la totale disponibilité du gouvernement à assister la famille Gard dans sa dernière tentative d’accéder aux soins expérimentaux en cours aux États-Unis, ce serait vraiment difficile pour l’hôpital de ne pas accorder le transfert de l’enfant. » « Pour cela, continue Filippo Savarese, le directeur de la campagne de Citizen.Go Italia, nous sommes en train d’essayer d’influencer Trump à travers ses réseaux sociaux avec le hashtag #TRUMP4CHARLIE ».
