Le phénomène transgenre commence à poser de sérieux problèmes dans le monde de la compétition sportive. Exemple avec Andraya Yearwood, un jeune athlète noir américain qui « se sent » fille, et est donc autorisé à courir dans des compétitions féminines.
Les médias les plus complaisants sont bien forcés de reconnaître que, parmi les sprinteuses alignées à Hartford pour la Connectitut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC, une compétition inter-écoles à l’échelle de l’État), le physique d’Andraya Yearwood se détache. Ce qui est assez normal puisque Yearwood n’est pas une fille, mais un garçon, en plein développement hormonal si l’on en croit sa moustache naissante.
Mais la dictature du politiquement correct permet à ce transsexuel déclaré, au mépris du réel, de participer à des compétitions sportives dans les catégories féminines, avec un évident avantage physique sur celles qui ne disposent, le plus naturellement du monde, que d’une musculature féminine.
Dans ces conditions, Yearwood a remporté deux courses importantes à la CIAC, il y a quelques jours. « Dans le cadre de compétitions sportives, est-ce juste ? », se demande-t-on outre-Atlantique.
La réponse est évidemment non, comme l’a peut-être suggéré à mots couverts la favorite battue, Kate Hall :
« C’est frustrant. Mais c’est comme ça de nos jours… Je ne peux pas réellement dire ce que je veux dire. Mais il n’y a pas grand-chose que je puisse faire contre ça. »
