Colombie – L’Agence Fides fait savoir qu’un prêtre vient d’être assassiné. C’est le deuxième prêtre assassiné dans ce pays depuis le début de l’année.
Le Père Abelardo Antonio Muñoz Sánchez, 41 ans, a été tué au cours d’une tentative de vol dans le quartier Saint Antoine de Rionegro, sur la rue principale portant à La Ceja. Selon les informations fournies à la presse locale par le Col. Javier Morales Cárdenas, vice commandant de la Police d’Antioquia, et parvenues à Fides, le meurtre a eu lieu le 3 octobre à 10 h 50 locales lorsque deux criminels ont accosté le prêtre qui descendait d’un taxi. « Il a été approché par deux sujets en moto, qui l’ont intimidé à l’aide d’une arme de poing pour se faire remettre sa serviette dans laquelle aurait dû probablement se trouver du liquide. Devant le refus du prêtre, les malfaiteurs ont ouvert le feu à plusieurs reprises, causant sa mort » a déclaré le Col. Morales. Plus tard, la police est parvenue à capturer les délinquants sur le territoire de la commune de la Ceja. Le Père Abelardo Antonio Muñoz Sánchez, du diocèse de Girardota, était prêtre depuis 10 ans et œuvrait depuis quatre mois dans la paroisse de Cisneros, dans le département d’Antioquia
