Regis Iglesias, porte-parole du Mouvement Chrétien Libération (MCL), opposant au régime communiste de Fidel Castro, a déclaré le 24 février 2016, que « Cuba ne change pas et ne changera jamais ».
En effet, il s’est référé à la politique américaine comme étant « une politique qui ne tient pas compte des droits des cubains ». Les investissements des pays étrangers orchestrés par les États-Unis ne font que consolider un régime oppresseur.
Dans un article paru dans le journal « El Nuevo Herald », le porte-parole du MCL a affirmé que son pays est devenu la « nouvelle mode » où les « celebrities » oisives avec plus d’argent que du talent ainsi que des politiciens vaniteux viennent ici pour se faire photographier à côté des derniers dinosaures de la planète. »
Iglesias a souligné que ces gens-là ne sont intéressés que par l’argent et leurs entreprises. « Ils s’en moquent du manque des libertés dans notre pays. Ce qu’ils veulent, c’est de s’enrichir avec la main d’œuvre bon marché et esclave d’un régime qui lui interdit de se syndicaliser ou de trouver du travail sans la bienveillance d’un régime militaire qui lui prend 95% de son salaire », a-t-il ajouté.
Le régime des frères Castro veut continuer ce système pourri pour faire profiter sa famille et ses amis proches des joies économiques du régime totalitaire. « Rien n’a changé dans notre île. Le gouvernement américain veut nous vendre l’idée du changement, mais ce n’est pas vrai », a-t-il dénoncé.
