Un djihadiste syrien de 20 ans a exécuté en public sa mère Lina qui avait tenté de le convaincre d’abandonner le groupe Etat islamique (EI) selon l’Observatoire syrien des droits de l’homme (OSDH). Cette postière de 40 ans avait marché 50 km depuis son village Tabaka pour se rendre à Raqqa, capitale du « califat » islamiste de Al Baghdadi. Son but était de convaincre son fils de quitter cette ville ; elle craignait en effet qu’il ne trouve la mort dans un bombardement de la coalition.
Le jeune homme était passé successivement par le groupe des « modérés » de l’Armée syrienne libre ; puis le front Al Nosra, dénomination d’Al Qaïda en Syrie, pour aboutir finalement à l’EI (Etat Islamique). Il a accusé sa mère d’être en situation d’apostasie. Celle-ci fut arrêtée immédiatement. Puis il a fait rassembler une centaine de personnes et a tué lui-même sa mère d’une balle en pleine tête sur une place à Raqqa.
