Japon – Ce qui suit n’est pas une plaisanterie mais une illustration supplémentaire de la folie qui s’empare progressivement d’un grand nombre de personnes déconnectées du réel et vivant une part importante de leur existence dans le virtuel.
Akihiko Kondo, fonctionnaire de 35 ans, vient d’épouser une représentation en hologramme d’Hatsune Miku, héroïne de mangas.
Le fonctionnaire nippon a organisé une cérémonie de mariage avec invités et repas.
Pour cette folie, Akihiko Kondo a payé l’équivalent de 15.000 euros à Gatebox, la société qui commercialise les petites machines permettant d’avoir un hologramme chez soi.
Pour ce prix-là, Gatebox fournit même un certificat de mariage attestant que M. Akihiko Kondo s’est uni « dans une autre dimension » avec l’inexistante Hatsune Miku !
Et, aussi incroyable que cela soit, c’est un filon qui rapporte beaucoup d’argent. En effet, 3.700 personnes ont déjà payé Gatebox pour se marier à un hologramme…
Le phénomène concerne les otakus (littéralement « celui qui reste chez lui »), des personnes repliées sur elles-mêmes et passant le plus clair de leur temps hors du réel, dans leur monde imaginaire développé grâce aux nouvelles technologies.
Nicolas Oliveri, chercheur spécialisé dans la cyberdépendance au Japon, explique :
« L’otakisme nippon donne la possibilité d’observer l’utilisation à outrance des technologies ludiques et vidéoludiques et d’en évaluer l’impact sur le développement identitaire et social d’individus fragilisés. »
