Une porte-parole du ministère de l’Intérieur bulgare a annoncé qu’un immigré afghan a été abattu par des gardes-frontières bulgares hier soir en tentant d’entrer illégalement en Bulgarie depuis la Turquie.
«Un grand groupe de migrants illégaux a essayé d’entrer en Bulgarie. L’un d’eux a été blessé et a succombé à ses blessures sur la route vers l’hôpital»
La nouvelle a été connue au moment de l’adoption à Bruxelles d’un «plan d’action commun» entre l’UE et la Turquie pour endiguer les flux migratoires.
Il s’agit du premier tir à balle réelle mortel depuis que des centaines de milliers d’immigrés illégaux déferlent en Europe.
L’homme abattu faisait partie d’un groupe d’une cinquantaine d’immigrés illégaux cherchant à pénétrer en Bulgarie par le secteur de Sredets, dans le sud-est du pays.
Ils «n’avaient pas obéi» à l’ordre de s’arrêter lancé par la patrouille de la police des frontières bulgare.
