C’est ce qu’on découvre ce matin en lisant la presse belge. L’homme de 44 ans, qui était une femme au départ, avait subi plusieurs opérations mais il n’était pas satisfait. Bien que n’étant pas en phase terminale d’une maladie, il a demandé l’euthanasie car il se sentait emprisonné dans son corps qu’il ne voulait pas. Il l’a obtenu. Wim Distlemans de la VUB, docteur sous les ordres duquel s’est effectuée l’euthanasie, la légitime en ces termes : «On pouvait clairement parler dans ce cas de souffrances psychiques insupportables ». En effet la législation belge stipule qu’une euthanasie peut-être pratiquée si la souffrance physique et/ou psychique est constante, insupportable et inapaisable. On n’arrête plus le progrès !
