Robin William était un acteur de grand talent : capable de toutes les interprétations, jouant de sa voix comme d’un instrument dont il avait la maîtrise parfaite, il avait notamment joué d’excellents rôles comiques.
Mais le génie qui faisait rire était triste dans son âme : à 63 ans, le lundi 11 août 2014 à Tiburon en Californie, il a mis fin à ses jours, dévoilant un alcoolisme chronique et une profonde dépression nerveuse. Mais déjà des les années 80, Robin Williams ne se cachait pas de ses prises de cocaïne régulières.
Le pitre oscarisé, grand professionnel du cinéma et du média, avait au fond de lui un grand vide. Il adhérait à l’Eglise épiscopalienne connue pour son libéralisme et son relativisme absolue : cette secte protestante accepte désormais les « mariages » homosexuels et compte même en son sein des « évêques » revendiqués comme invertis.
Deux fois divorcé, il s’était remarié une dernière fois en 2011 avec Susan Schneider.
C’est donc une vie sans Dieu qui malgré tous les talents s’est avérée malheureuse. Robin Williams avait le sourire aux lèvres mais le malheur dans le cœur.
