Argentine – L’évêque de Posadas, Mgr Juan Ruben Martinez, a regretté que « dans certaines milieux plus étroitement liés aux diverses formes de pouvoir », on entretienne un dédain pour la maternité, qui est considérée comme un problème, et ne se voit pas comme un don de Dieu . « Cette vision négative de la maternité est nuisible à la dignité humaine elle-même ».
L’évêque a estimé que cette même vision se perçoit dans certains médias et secteurs «soi-disant progressistes» qui favorisent les «lois qui répondent aux pressions d’organisations internationales éminemment capitalistes », et qui en général font s’affronter «droits des femmes» et «droits de l’enfant à naître » en ridiculisant la valeur de la famille.
Il a noté que le peuple a, au contraire, une «profonde reconnaissance» de la maternité, et dimanche dernier lors de la fête des mères, « il a célébré la maternité et la famille, la merveilleuse capacité donnée par Dieu à l’homme et la femme de se reproduire et le don d’être mère qui ennoblit toujours une femme « .
