Tous les ingrédients avaient été réunis pour faire mousser les médias à propos d’une agression à l’arme blanche le 1er juillet.
La « victime » ? Richard Sautour, un gérant bénévole des Restos du cœur de Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis).
Le motif ? L’anti-maçonnisme. La « victime » prétendait avoir déjà été menacée et insultée de « sale chien de franc-maçon ».
Le coupable ? Un islamiste, c’est à la mode, ayant surgi aux cris de « Allah Akbar ».
Une enquête avait été ouverte pour tentative d’homicide volontaire. Et le ministre de l’Intérieur Bernard Cazeneuve avait fait part de sa « plus vive indignation ».
Les médias s’étaient emparés de l’affaire. Les sites de la franc-maçonnerie en avaient fait de gros titres.
Mais le rebondissement ne sera probablement pas aussi médiatique. Mardi, Richard Sautour, la « victime », a été placé en garde à vue.
« Il est en garde à vue depuis ce matin pour dénonciation de crime ou délit imaginaire », a indiqué à l’AFP une source proche de l’affaire, confirmant une information de TF1.
Ce type de fausses agressions n’est pas rare.
Le 12 mai 2016, un enseignant juif a été condamné à Marseille à six mois de prison avec sursis pour avoir inventé une agression antisémite, quelques jours après les attentats du 13 novembre 2015, suscitant alors un vif émoi.
