Thor n’est pas seulement un dieu de la mythologie nordique, il est aussi un super héros de la bande dessinée américaine, apparu pour la première fois en 1962 chez Marvel.
Mardi, l’éditeur Marvel Comics a annoncé mardi que Thor devenait… une femme !
Le changement de sexe de Thor a officiellement pour objectif d’attirer de nouvelles lectrices. Mais on ne peut s’empêcher d’y voir un témoignage de plus de la volonté de féminiser la société. Bien sûr, vu le niveau d’inculture du public américain, on peut se demander combien se souviendront dans dix ans que le nom Thor fait référence à un dieu de la mythologie nordique.
Il s’agit d’un grand changement dans l’imaginaire américain puisque Thor figure parmi les trois héros principaux de Marvel, avec le capitaine América et Iron man.
La nouvelle héroïne s’appellera Thorita.
Thor avait été crée par Stan lee et avait été porté à l’écran. L’adaptation cinématographique avait engendré plus de 1.100 millions de dollars d’entrées et le héros nordique était interprété par l’acteur australien Chris Hemsworth
