L’OCAM, organisme chargé de l’analyse de la menace terroriste en Belgique, a annoncé que Bruxelles était mis en état d’alerte maximal. La menace terroriste est jugée « vraisemblable et imminente ».
Toutes les stations de métro ont été fermées. Les autorités gouvernementales, réunies en ce moment avec la direction de la Sûreté de l’Etat et des différents services de police, ont demandé à la population d’éviter tout lieu de rassemblement, grands magasins, activités sportives, lieux culturels, gares et aéroports,…
