Un individu a tenté de mettre le feu à l’autel de l’église Saint-Roch, à Nice, ce vendredi 16 février.
L’individu a commis son méfait à huit heures du matin, rapporte Nice Matin.
Le sacristain est arrivé à temps pour éteindre la nappe enflammée avant que le bois de l’autel ne prenne feu à son tour.
La police, arrivée sur les lieux rapidement, a pu rapidement identifier le pyromane grâce aux vidéos de caméras de surveillance, et l’arrêter.
Cet individu était déjà sous tutelle et a été placé en garde à vue.
En dix ans, c’est la quatrième fois qu’une tentative d’incendie volontaire vise l’autel de cette église niçoise.
