Au large de la mer Baltique dans la région de Raseborg en Finlande , une île réservée aux femmes sert de quartier général à l’enclave féministe SuperShe.
La fondatrice de la communauté SuperShe, Kristina Roth, a acheté l’île en septembre 2017 pour donner à son réseau de femmes une base.
En 2015, selon Forbes, Matisia Consultants, entreprise de consultance de Kristina Roth, se classait à la septième place de la liste des entreprises connaissant la croissance la plus rapide. Le chiffre d’affaires de l’entreprise s’élevait alors à 45 millions de dollars. Elle l’a vendu un an plus tard et a lancé SuperShe.
Kristina Roth n’a pas lancé SuperShe sous la forme d’une entreprise (pas un dollar de chiffre d’affaires n’a été réalisé depuis sa création), mais en tant que communauté de réseautage féministe.
La communauté SuperShe a tenu quatre « retraites » avant l’achat de l’île. Deux à Hawaï, une à Turks and Caicos, et la quatrième en juin dernier sur l’île Necker de Richard Branson, en présence du co-fondateur de Virgin. Le richissime propriétaire des lieux avait exceptionnellement été admis à assister à cette assemblée exclusivement féminine.
La communauté SuperShe est très sélective. Et réservée à des femmes qui ont de gros moyens financiers. Kristina Roth parle de de « femmes financièrement et émotionnellement indépendantes ». En effet, le séjour d’une semaine sur l’île SuperShe (utilisée depuis juin 2018) coûte en moyenne entre 3.000 et 6.000 euros. Et même si vous avez les moyens de vous l’offrir, il faudra d’abord passer un entretien avec Kristina Roth pour exprimer vos motivations à intégrer l’île. Sur 7.000 candidatures, seules 140 femmes ont été sélectionnées pour l’instant.
Certains mouvements féministes accusent la communauté d’être une colonie élitiste, conçue spécifiquement pour les femmes fortunées.
Dans le contexte de folie collective de notre monde moderne, une autre polémique a surgi. L’initiative de Kristina Roth est aussi la cible de critiques de mouvements… transgenres car la communauté SuperShe n’a jusqu’ici pas accepté de candidature d’un transgenre se considérant femme.
Kristina Roth a toutefois déclaré que toute personne s’identifiant en tant que femme peut poser sa candidature…
