Choquer est devenu le maître mot des agences de publicité. En voici un nouvel exemple. Des panneaux publicitaires géants ont fait leur apparition à Los Angeles. On y voit un soldat américain en uniforme serrant dans ses bras une femme portant le niqab. Avec pour slogan « Be Together » (Être ensemble).
Cette association d’images, militaire américain et femme musulmane, a de quoi intriguer. Est-ce une campagne du gouvernement ou de l’armée ? Vous n’y êtes pas.
Il s’agit d’une campagne publicitaire pour SnoreStop, une entreprise spécialisée dans… les remèdes contre le ronflement. Alors quel est le rapport avec l’affiche ? Aucun, mais cela n’a pas d’importance. L’objectif était de faire parler de la campagne et c’est bien sûr réussi puisque les réseaux sociaux se sont emparés de l’affaire.
D’autres, y compris dans les médias musulmans, y voient une campagne indirecte en faveur d’une Amérique pluriethnique et ouverte à toutes les religions…
