Suite à la dernière décision du tribunal de Paris sur les 700.000 pétitions citoyennes adressées au Conseil Économique Social et Environnemental au moment du débat sur le mariage homosexuel, une délégation de la Manif Pour Tous a été reçue au siège du Conseil par son président, Jean-Paul Delevoye. Celui-ci a expliqué que le bureau avait décidé de ne pas faire appel du jugement, mais solliciterait en revanche un éclaircissement des conditions de recevabilité des pétitions citoyennes, estimant qu’il y avait ambiguïté du point de vue juridique. Une réponse qui ne satisfait pas la Manif Pour Tous qui a tenu à souligner dans un communiqué qu’aucune ambiguïté juridique n’avait été évoquée par le rapporteur public et le tribunal. Tout le monde aura compris qu’il est facile de se retrancher derrière ce prétexte pour ne pas donner de réponse et ne pas avoir à se prononcer.
La Manif Pour Tous a déjà averti qu’elle n’hésiterait pas à avoir de nouveau recours à la pétition citoyenne s’il le faut: » La délégation de La Manif Pour Tous a prévenu M. Delevoye qu’un nouveau projet ou proposition de loi dans le domaine sociétal qui poserait problème aux Français ferait l’objet d une nouvelle pétition citoyenne et que le CESE aurait donc l’obligation de s’en saisir. Elle a demandé au Président du CESE de le faire dûment savoir au Président de la république et au Premier ministre. »
