Dimanche dernier, dimanche du Bon Pasteur, l’abbé Denis Puga a prononcé une remarquable homélie, rappelant que « l’Eglise doit parler en toutes circonstances ».
Or, en ce temps où les catholiques sont privés de l’assistance à la messe sous prétexte de l’épidémie de coronavirus, l’abbé Puga a dénoncé un « silence de mort, le silence des autorités ».
Soulignant que « les maladies de l’âme sont bien plus graves que les maladies du corps », le prêtre de l’église Saint-Nicolas-du-Chardonnet a dit à quel point les fidèles ont « besoin des sacrements » et sont dans l’incompréhension de subir la fermeture des églises pendant la messe alors que les supermarchés sont ouverts.
Il faudrait donc que des autorités catholiques se dressent pour défendre les catholiques. « Les catholiques sont des brebis, pas des moutons, ils ont droit à leur culte », a répété l’abbé Puga.
Hélas, regrette l’abbé, « nous sommes arrivés au temps des chiens muets », sans autorité catholique prête à se dresser.
