Face à l’insécurité croissante et à l’incapacité des autorités à y remédier, l’autodéfense apparaît comme une réponse logique mais rarement admise par la bien-pensance qui règne aujourd’hui en France.
Signalons donc deux nouvelles intéressantes.
En Belgique, un bourgmestre (équivalent du maire) VLD (centre-droit libéral) d’une commune flamande a encouragé ses concitoyens à s’armer. « Plus les citoyens détiendront une arme chez eux, moins les cambrioleurs agiront« , a déclaré Hugo Leroy, bourgmestre de Gavere (Flandre orientale) au quotidien Het Laatste Nieuws. Hugo Leroy votera bientôt contre les caméras de surveillance sur son territoire car il les juge inefficaces. « Cela ne fonctionne pas. Les gens doivent se protéger eux-mêmes. »
Le bourgmestre estime qu’il vaut mieux investir dans l’engagement de policiers que dans l’installation de caméras de surveillance. Mais il insiste: « Les citoyens doivent aussi se protéger. »
En Russie, c’est un nouvel arrêté publié mardi dernier qui autorise désormais les citoyens russes possédant un permis de détention d’arme de porter celle-ci sur eux pour se protéger.
Le port d’arme n’était jusqu’ici autorisé que dans le cadre de la chasse ou de compétitions sportives ou de tirs d’entraînement. Le nouvel arrêté autorise « le port d’armes civiles et de service pour l’autodéfense« .
