Un lobby homosexuel appelé LGBT Youth North West a l’intention d’ouvrir à Manchester une école dont les élèves auraient la particularité de se considérer LGBT !
L’établissement scolaire est prévu comme une extension du centre LGBT Joyce Layland et prévoit initialement des classes pour une quarantaine d’élèves à plein temps, et une vingtaine à mi-temps.
Ce projet pilote a déjà reçu le soutien d’un ministère et de collectivités locales. Aucune date d’ouverture n’est encore fixée.
Les promoteurs de ce concept scolaire communautariste espèrent bien sûr que leur projet sera financé par l’Etat, à raison de… 16.000 livres sterling (environ 21.000 euros) par élève !
Quant au programme, il «sera fait sur-mesure, de manière à répondre aux besoins de chaque enfant. Il incorporera connaissances scolaires et techniques de travail, de façon à renforcer l’estime de soi et les compétences pratiques, par exemple en travaillant dans un café social ou dans un jardin communautaire», raconte sans rire Amelia Lee.
