Dans la nuit de samedi à dimanche, un habitant d’une rue de Roubaix, exaspéré par le bruit causé par deux personnes ivres dans la rue, a exigé le silence. Il était un peu moins de 4h du matin et deux individus faisaient ronfler leur moteur dans une course. Un père de famille, Ahmed, ouvre sa fenêtre pour exiger le calme. La manœuvre ne plaît pas aux deux individus tapageurs, qui décident de faire payer cette remontrance à Ahmed. Ils pénètrent dans l’immeuble dont la grille ne ferme plus, et montent frapper «à toutes les portes de l’étage», selon les propos de l’épouse d’Ahmed rapportés par La Voix du Nord. Énervé, le père de famille sort de l’appartement pour aller discuter avec les deux individus et tenter de les calmer mais l’un des deux hommes lui aurait alors asséné un coup de couteau à la gorge.
La femme d’Ahmed, descendue à sa rencontre en entendant des cris, aurait découvert son mari dans l’escalier. Les deux individus auraient pris la fuite en la dissuadant d’appeler la police. Une fois sur place, les secours ont tenté de ranimer Ahmed, qui a perdu connaissance. Il décédera durant son transport à l’hôpital. Voilà encore un fait qui pourrait illustrer le livre de Laurent Obertone:« France Orange Mécanique » !
