Le maire de Béziers a été condamné lundi dernier en appel par le Tribunal de Montpellier pour avoir insulté un instituteur. Il écope d’une amende de 500 euros, 1 euro symbolique de dommages et intérêts et 500 euros de frais de justice.
Commentaire désabusé de Robert Ménard, mercredi 14 décembre, recueilli par Midi Libre :
« Je déplore cette décision, mais je vais en rester là. Je constate deux poids deux mesures avec la justice. À Vias, une institutrice est menacée de mort par des parents d’élèves. Elle a dû quitter l’école et le dossier a été classé sans suite. Moi, j’insulte un instituteur qui refuse de me serrer la main, je n’aurais pas dû, mais je suis condamné », a-t-il ajouté.
