Ouest France rapporte que l’Assemblée nationale a adopté mercredi des restrictions du droit du sol à Mayotte. Les députés ont approuvé l’article sénatorial qui exige pour les enfants nés à Mayotte que l’un de ses parents ait, au jour de la naissance, été présent de manière régulière sur le territoire national depuis plus de trois mois.
A l’Assemblée, Ramlati Ali, parlementaire mahoraise, a lancé un appel à réagir à la « situation urgente » du département, « où 74 % des enfants naissent de mère étrangère » après une traversée maritime souvent périlleuse depuis les Comores. Elle a précisé : « La maternité de Mayotte est devenue la première de France, avec 10 000 naissances par an. À ce rythme il faudrait construire une classe par jour alors que déjà les élèves ne peuvent aller à l’école qu’en rotation le matin ou l’après-midi ».
On aimerait que nos députés ne se limitent pas à se préoccuper de la situation migratoire à Mayotte. En ce domaine, la Métropole n’est pas en reste.
