Philippines – Du 28 avril au 4 mai, des volontaires venus de partout se retrouvent une fois de plus aux Philippines à l’appel de la Mission Rosa Mystica fondée par le Docteur Jean-Pierre Dickès il y a déjà 13 ans.
Le dimanche 28 avril, après un long acheminement (20 heures d’attente à l’aéroport d’Istanbul pour nos amis moldaves, deux à trois jours de voyage porte à porte pour certains !…), tous les volontaires de la Mission Rosa Mystica se sont retrouvés à General Santos (Mindanao) pour la messe dominicale. A l’ombre de sa grande église, ils ont confié leur mission à Notre Dame, Rose Mystique, qui les a enveloppés dans son bleu manteau.
La consécration à l’Immaculée de tous les participants à cette belle œuvre, fut le premier acte posé après la messe.
Après avoir rejoint le grand gymnase de la ville de Polomolok, voisine de General Santos, tous ont suivi la statue de Notre Dame en procession, avec Madame le Maire en tête, dans les rues avoisinantes grouillantes de monde, de bruits et d’agitation. Mais beaucoup de passants s’arrêtent et saluent Notre Dame ou se signent. La participation des autorités municipales et associations locales à la Mission étonnent nos esprits occidentaux habitués à la « neutralité » laïque et obligatoire…
Armés de ces grâces spirituelles les volontaires vont pouvoir accueillir pauvres et malades pour leur offrir, avec la plus grande générosité possible, les soins et la compassion qu’ils leur doivent.
