Inscrit au fichier des personnes recherchées (FPR) et faisant l’objet d’un mandat de dépôt dans une affaire de corruption pour laquelle il a été condamné à trois ans de prison ferme en 2017, le maire guyanais Léon Bertrand a pu tranquillement être reçu à l’Élysée le jeudi 31 mai.
Selon le quotidien Le Parisien, le parquet de Créteil (Val-de-Marne) serait intervenu pour demander aux agents de la police aux frontières de ne pas appréhender l’élu, évoquant des consignes « directes et politiques ». Des indications qui n’ont rien d’exceptionnel, selon un policier interrogé par Le Parisien. « On en a régulièrement, par exemple pour des people en délicatesse avec le fisc », assure-t-il.
