C’est avec une immense tristesse que nous avons appris le rappel à Dieu de notre ami le Docteur Xavier Dor, fondateur de SOS Tout-Petits.
Comme nous l’avions déjà signalé, le docteur Dor avait contracté le coronavirus. Le 31 mars, il avait été hospitalisé en urgence. Il s’est éteint le 3 avril, à 91 ans.
Spécialiste en embryologie, le docteur Dor avait exercé à l’hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière. Il avait aussi enseigné à Paris VI et été chercheur en embryologie cardiaque à l’INSERM.
Mais c’est en tant que défenseur irréductible de la Vie des tout-petits qu’il avait acquis une renommée qui dépasse les frontières de la France.
Le docteur Dor avait été condamné à onze reprises, au nom de lois iniques, pour ses actions pacifiques contre l’avortement. Le simple fait d’offrir des chaussons et une médaille miraculeuse à une femme enceinte croisée dans les escaliers d’un centre de Planning familial lui avait valu un procès pour « pression morale et psychologique ».
On se souviendra également que le Vatican avait de façon scandaleuse refusé en décembre 1997 d’accorder l’asile au docteur Xavier Dor. Inculpé par la justice française, le docteur s’était en effet réfugié à la nonciature apostolique à Paris et y avait demandé le droit d’asile. Mais la Rome conciliaire repoussa cet ardent catholique qui avait pour seul tort d’appliquer les commandements de Dieu.
