Raef Badawi a reçu ce matin ses cinquante coups en Arabie Saoudite, en public, après la séance de prière du vendredi.
En prison depuis le 7 juin 2012, ce blogueur avait été condamné à recevoir 1000 coups de fouets répartis sur 20 semaines, condamnation prononcée le 5 novembre 2014 pour insulte à l’Islam. Sa femme est réfugiée au Canada. Son avocat a également été incarcéré…
Je laisse imaginer la torture que cela constitue de répartir sur 20 semaines 50 coups de fouets, la peau étant à peine cicatrisée au bout d’une semaine. Qui plus est, psychologiquement, le stress et l’angoisse de voir chaque semaine approcher le jour fatidique.
Inutile de préciser que l’Arabie Saoudite est un pays musulman qui applique la Charia, ce qui explique cette humanisme et cette tolérance…ceci dit, toujours sans amalgame, bien entendu !!!
