Le Fatah, qui signifie « mouvement de libération de la Palestine » et qui a été fondé clandestinement en 1959 par Yasser Arafat, dépend aujourd’hui du président de l’Autorité palestinienne, Mahmoud Abbas, et fait partie de l’Internationale socialiste.
Sur sa page Facebook, le Fatah a affirmé lundi que l’Étoile de David, est un symbole d’origine islamique.
« Des centaines d’années avant la création de l’État d’Israël, l’Étoile de Daoud (David) était utilisée dans l’art islamique en Palestine mais aussi en Andalousie et au Maroc », lit-on sur la page Facebook officielle de l’organisation palestinienne.
« L’Étoile de Daoud n’est en rien un symbole sioniste », ajoute-t-il.
De quoi mettre en colère les rédactions des médias israéliens.
