TF1/TMC ont diffusé une séquence consacrée au nouveau parti Civitas. En fait, il s’agit d’un « reportage » de l’équipe de Yann Barthès passé de Canal + à TF1 où il anime désormais une émission intitulée « Quotidien ». Yann Barthès reste Yann Barthès. Tout n’est que moquerie. Yann Barthès a donc envoyé sa collaboratrice Camille Crosnier à Ferney-Voltaire tenter d’y filmer la conférence d’Alain Escada sur le catholicisme social à l’invitation de la section Haute-Savoie d’Egalité & Réconciliation. Mais la pauvre Camille avait été prévenue : l’entrée lui serait refusée. Cela donne lieu à une scène assez cocasse. Les « reporters » voulaient tourner en ridicule l’intervenant et son public mais la situation s’inverse. Les membres d’E&R et de Civitas s’amusent de la situation. « Pourquoi est-ce qu’on ne peut pas entrer ? « , demande la petite Camille, faussement naïve. « Parce qu’on n’aime pas les journalistes « , répond en riant le jeune responsable de la section E&R. Le ton est donné. Et les journalistes sont tournés en bourrique tout en restant fiers d’eux.
Ensuite, Camille Crosnier vient assister à la conférence de presse de Civitas à Paris. Elle en montre quelques extraits qu’elle imagine à même de scandaliser les bobos. Mais se faisant, elle fait le jeu de Civitas qui avait prévenu : « notre discours sera sans concession, intégralement catholique, foncièrement patriote, radicalement anti-système « . Quelques centaines de milliers de téléspectateurs viennent de s’en apercevoir.
