Dans les états-majors des partis politiques, ce n’est pas la joie qui règne à l’approche des élections européennes. La recomposition politique qui a suivi le siphonage, tant à gauche qu’à droite, par Macron et son parti LREM, laisse peu d’espoir aux uns et aux autres de reprendre la main. C’est au point que les figures principales des différents partis tentent toutes d’échapper à la périlleuse mission d’être tête de liste à ces élections européennes.
Au Parti Socialiste, où l’atmosphère est funèbre, Olivier Faure, premier secrétaire du PS, inconnu de la plupart des électeurs, manquait à ce point de volontaires qu’il avait proposé la tête de liste à un élu du parti socialiste… belge, Paul Magnette, numéro 2 du PS en Wallonie et bourgmestre (maire) de Charleroi. Celui-ci a poliment décliné l’invitation, expliquant qu’il était candidat à sa réélection comme maire de Charleroi en octobre prochain et qu’en 2019, les élections européennes se dérouleront, en Belgique, en même temps que les élections régionales et les législatives, pour lesquelles il jouera un rôle.
Bref, le PS recherche toujours sa tête de liste. Avis aux amateurs…
