Etats-Unis – Depuis quelques années, des sectes sataniques multiplient les initiatives et cherchent à avoir pignon sur rue.
Le « Temple satanique » de Tucson vient de demander l’autorisation de déclamer un rituel satanique avant l’ouverture d’une réunion du conseil municipal de la ville de Phœnix le 17 février 2016.
La démarche des satanistes n’est pas anodine car les élus municipaux ont l’habitude de prononcer ensemble une prière avant de démarrer les débats do conseil municipal.
Le « Temple satanique », qui déclare être une religion, a menacé d’engager des poursuites contre la municipalité si leur demande est refusée.
«Nous avons des membres partout», a fait valoir Stu De Haan, un sataniste de Tucson, interrogé par la chaîne NBC.
Quatre membres du conseil municipal ont réagi en déposant une motion la semaine dernière pour s’opposer à cette demande des satanistes. L’un de ces quatre élus municipaux, Sal Di Ciccio, dit craindre une tactique diabolique pour au final que toutes les prières soient désormais bannies dans l’enceinte du conseil municipal.
