Médias-Presse.Info a déjà signalé que l’élection du futur président du Conseil représentatif des institutions juives de France (CRIF) ne sera qu’une formalité puisque Francis Kalifat est le seul candidat au remplacement de Roger Cukierman.
Mais de nouveaux vice-présidents doivent également être désignés.
Le socialiste Yonathan Arfi, ancien président de l’UEJF et membre du haut conseil de l’Alliance israélite universelle, devrait être réélu.
Le second vice-président devrait être Gérard Unger.
Gérard Unger, né le 24 octobre 1946 à Paris, ancien président de RMC puis de la Sofirad, est le Président-directeur général de Metrobus depuis 1997. Gérard Unger est également conseiller du président de Publicis, Maurice Lévy, et président-directeur général de Médiavision (Jean Mineur, régie publicitaire de cinéma), toutes deux filiales du groupe Publicis. Militant au PS de longue date et franc-maçon, il appartient déjà au bureau exécutif du CRIF, est vice-président de la LICRA chargé de la communication et président de JCall France. Le 11 mars, il avait été décoré par François Hollande.
C’est Gérard Unger qui, en mars 2015 avait refusé, au nom d’une laïcité très antichrétienne, la publicité dans le métro pour un concert à l’Olympia au profit des Chrétiens d’Orient, alors que des publicités faisant référence au judaïsme et à l’islam ne lui posaient aucun problème.
