Le journal Le Dauphiné du 1er novembre signale que des profanations, vandalismes et vols ont visé sept églises du diocèse d’Annecy en deux jours…
Constatés mardi [31 octobre], les faits datent de dimanche et lundi [29 et 30 octobre]. Plusieurs églises, au nombre desquelles celles d’Abondance, La Chapelle d’Abondance, Châtel et Vacheresse, Saint-Jean d’Aulps, Morzine et les Gets, ont été profanées. Les portes de celles qui étaient closes ont été forcées à l’aide d’un pied de biche et à l’intérieur, les malfrats ont fait main basse sur différents objets, dont des calices. Dans certaines églises, le tabernacle contenant les hosties consacrées par le prêtre ont été volées ainsi que les ciboires qui les contenaient. Des troncs ont aussi été vidés. Les auteurs pourraient être deux hommes, ceux-ci ont été aperçus sur l’un des sites. Une enquête est ouverte.
