Selon le rapport 2017 d’Europol concernant les arrestations de terroristes islamistes en Union Européenne, notre pays est à part, avec à plus tout seul 42,8 % des arrestations, soit 429 sur 1002. Il suffit de voir l’écart avec le pays au second rang, l’Espagne, qui en a interpellé 69, soit… 6,9 % ! Viennent ensuite la Belgique avec 62 individus, les Pays-Bas avec 36, 30 pour l’Autriche, 28 pour l’Italie, 25 pour l’Allemagne, 15 pour la Grèce, 8 pour le Danemark, 5 pour la Pologne, 2 pour la Suède, 1 pour la République Tchèque, l’Irlande, la Roumanie et la Slovénie. Aucun terroriste islamique n’a été arrêté en Finlande, en Pologne, en Slovaquie, en Hongrie, en Bulgarie, en Croatie, à Malte, à Chypre, au Portugal, au Luxembourg, en Estonie, en Lettonie et en Lituanie. Brexit oblige, le Royaume-Uni a été exclu des statistiques de l’Union européenne.
Selon le même rapport, le terrorisme islamique a fait 142 morts : 135 victimes et 7 terroristes, dont 86 rien que pour l’attentat de Nice. La surreprésentation de la France a deux explications possibles : soit notre police est extrêmement efficace, soit notre pays est le plus infecté par le péril vert. La réalité est d’ailleurs probablement un mélange des deux…
