Aujourd’hui, 22 octobre 2015, les premières cérémonies d’unions civiles homosexuelles ont été célébrées au Chili suite à la promulgation de la loi permettant l’union civile pour les couples homosexuelles au mois de janvier dernier.
En effet, le 28 janvier 2015, le Parlement chilien avait approuvé un projet de loi sur la famille qui reconnaissait l’union civile pour les homosexuels. La loi a créé l’«Accord sur l’Union civile» (AUC), largement soutenue par le lobby gay après quatre années de tractations dans un des pays les plus conservateurs de l’Amérique Latine.
Suite à son approbation et sa publication dans le Journal officiel, la loi est entrée en vigueur à partir d’aujourd’hui, le 22 octobre.
En résumé, cette loi permet aux couples hétérosexuels ou homosexuels, vivant sous le même toit sans être mariés, le partage de leurs biens sur le plan juridique, le droit d’hériter ou de recevoir des pensions, et la possibilité d’être pris en charge dans le système de santé.
Les couples homosexuels ont désormais une reconnaissance juridique et ils sont considérés comme étant une famille.
Ainsi, ce matin, cinq couples ont été reçus pour la cérémonie d’union civile et, bien évidemment, les médias du pays, les associations LGBT, et les politiciens qui ont soutenu dès le début le projet de loi, étaient présents pour les cérémonies « historiques » qui bafouent la morale catholique.
Tout est prêt donc pour l’étape suivante : reconnaitre le mariage homosexuel et, ainsi, rabaisser la dignité du véritable mariage conféré entre un homme et une femme.
