Les Philippines, considérées comme un pays encore très catholique, ont vu mardi un transgenre, qui se fait désormais appeler Geraldine Roman, être élu au Congrès.

Divorces, avortements et mariages homosexuels sont illégaux aux Philippines, mais le lobby LGBT tente de propager la subversion.

Ce transgenre avait l’avantage de se présenter dans la circonscription de sa mère, député sortant qui ne pouvait se représenter après trois mandats.

« Geraldine » Roman, élu sous les couleurs du Parti libéral du président sortant Benigno Aquino, compte se mobiliser pour légaliser la possibilité de changer de sexe, interdite en 2001.
