Le commissaire colonel Michel Le Pargneux, né en 1927, a vécu l’Occupation et les durs combats de 1944 en Normandie. Il fit ensuite carrière dans l’armée de Terre : Tirailleurs marocains, Service des Affaires indigènes du Maroc, maintien de l’ordre dans l’Aurès, Service des Affaires algériennes où il connut de près le drame de l’abandon de la province. Il resta en Algérie jusqu’en 1963, bien après l’indépendance, avant de continuer son service en métropole. Le livre qu’il publie aux éditions des Cimes reprend notamment les quatre conférences qu’il avait données sur Radio Courtoisie en 2014 dans l’émission « Journal des Auditeurs et des Musiciens » de Didier Rochard qui en signe la préface.
Il a déjà beaucoup été écrit sur le Maréchal Pétain comme sur le Général De Gaulle. Alors, un livre de plus ? Certes. Mais un livre qui s’adresse avant tout aux jeunes générations afin de démonter l’Histoire falsifiée telle qu’enseignée aujourd’hui, qui, soit cherche à salir la mémoire du Maréchal Pétain, soit encense hors de tout bon sens le Général De Gaulle. Cette étude constitue donc un véritable travail de réinformation et s’appuie sur des documents minutieusement analysés issus d’archives trop souvent occultées. En outre, il contient de très nombreuses pages d’annexes qui viennent notamment réhabiliter le Maréchal mais aussi écorcher le mythe gaulliste. On se régalera également de la Lettre ouverte adressée par Roger Holeindre au Président François Hollande à propos du 19 mars 1962.
