Pays-Bas – Comme on pouvait s’y attendre, des militants d’extrême gauche et des activistes d’organisations communautaires noires ont perturbé le défilé de Saint-Nicolas hier à Gouda.
Dans un délire obsessionnel antiraciste, ces extrémistes veulent à tout prix mettre fin à la tradition du Père Fouettard noir, appelé ici Zwarte Piet, qui accompagne Saint-Nicolas dans sa remise de cadeaux aux enfants.
Ces extrémistes ont provoqué des bagarres au milieu d’une foule parmi laquelle se trouvait beaucoup d’enfants en bas âge, forçant la police à procéder à 90 arrestations. De nombreux parents hollandais étaient scandalisés par ces provocations de l’extrême gauche et d’activistes blacks. Tandis que des enfants étaient en larmes, apeurés par ces bagarres, des parents ont répété aux médias qu’il n’y a aucune raison de mettre fins aux traditions.
