Patricia Zirilli, maire du Luc (Var), élue sous l’étiquette Front National, a présenté sa démission. Son prédécesseur, Philippe de la Grange, avait déjà démissionné début 2015 après à peine un an de mandat.
Comment expliquer cette nouvelle démission ? L’explication de Patricia Zirilli vient démentir la version officielle du parti qui évoquait des « raisons de santé ».
Ce sont en vérité des problèmes internes au sein du parti qui sont la cause de la démission de Patricia Zirilli qui dit « ne pas être assez FN » aux yeux de certains membres du parti. Dans une lettre envoyée à Var-Matin et publiée par le quotidien local, elle affirme: « Je vais très bien […] Je démissionne à cause des pressions d’une équipe qui n’arrive pas à se projeter, qui me reproche de ne pas être ‘assez’ FN, pas assez ci, pas assez cela« .
Pascal Verrelle, premier adjoint du Luc prend la tête de la Ville par intérim et sera probablement désigné par le conseil municipal pour succéder à Patricia Zirilli.
La commune du Luc compte environ 10.000 habitants. Le FN y avait obtenu 42 % des voix au second tour des élections municipales.
