C’est la chronique d’une violence devenue ordinaire en milieu urbain. Mardi après-midi, à Paris, le chauffeur d’un bus touristique de la compagnie « City Sightseeing Paris » (qui n’avait pas l’autorisation de circuler dans la capitale, selon la mairie de Paris) a eu une violente altercation avec un automobiliste qui s’est soldée par la mort de celui-ci.
L’automobiliste était sorti de son véhicule après avoir été légèrement percuté par le bus derrière lui. La situation a ensuite dégénéré entre lui et le conducteur du bus touristique. Les deux hommes se sont échangés des coups à travers la vitre. Le chauffeur du bus, rempli de touristes, a ensuite redémarré et tourné violemment à gauche sur l’homme avec qui il se disputait. Un autre bus arrivait sur la gauche et l’homme a été projeté et écrasé entre les deux carrosseries des bus. Jusqu’à ce que sa tête éclate contre la vitre. L’homme s’est ensuite écroulé.
« Les images des caméras de vidéosurveillance sont effroyables, commente une source proche de l’enquête interrogée par nos confrères du Parisien. La victime est tombée morte au sol. Les gens hurlaient ! »
Dans le bus touristique, les passagers – des Américains et des Australiens, des adultes mais aussi des enfants – ont tout vu de ce drame et sont traumatisés. Ils ont été pris en charge par une équipe psy de l’hôpital Necker.
Le chauffeur du bus a été interpellé pour “homicide volontaire”. Il s’agit de Omar M., né en Algérie en 1973.
